INNSBRUCK
With the forecourt of the Innsbruck State Theater, Congress Innsbruck, and the historic Hofburg the main venue of the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships 2023 is located directly in the heart of Innsbruck and next to the old town with its many sights. The main benefit of the Venue is its approved venue concept, as it is not only the main outdoor event venue of the city, but also home of the Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival for years. With the combination of the the open court, the Congress and Hofburg, the necessary infrastructures – even for worst-case weather scenarios – are given. Innsbruck offers not only a magnificent start through the old town and an emotional finish via a beautiful avenue but also an incredible short distance from the city center to the trails. Therefore, it is definitely an appropriate venue for big mega events like this.

The leisure center in Neustift is a bit smaller and more intimate than the enue in Innsbruck, but meets all requirements brilliantly. It offers enough space, rooms and the necessary infrastructure. Additionally, the distance to the trail entrance is only a few meters away. The venue is home to lots of events, especially the Stubai Utra Trail. Thus, it is absolutely event proven. Located in beautiful alpine surroundings, the venue in Neustift is a perfect complement to the venue in Innsbruck as both not only function as stand-alone venue, but are also connected through the long competitions
